Memorial Day Parade steps off Monday at 10 a.m.

The annual Memorial Day Parade is Monday, May 29 at 10 a.m. The parade, presented by Groves-Walker American Legion Post 346 and the non-profit Xemplar Foundation, will go through downtown Farmington.
 
The Farmington Memorial Day Parade has been an area tradition since 1970. The community is invited to participate in honoring veterans, fallen heroes, active service men and women, and local first responders at this annual family event.
 
The parade will start at 10 a.m. near the intersection of Grand River Avenue and Orchard Lake Road and travel one mile west on Grand River. It will end at Oakland Street where a ceremony will take place at the Farmington War Memorial Monument in Memorial Park. After the ceremony, all are welcome to attend a free community luncheon sponsored by Weingartz and the Xemplar Foundation at the American Legion Hall located at 31775 Grand River Avenue.
