What city parks are available? Are fees charged for use of
the parks?
Farmington has five parks: Drake Park, Shiawassee
Park, Memorial Park, Downtown Riley Park and Women’s Park. Pavilion
reservations can be made at Shiawassee Park through the City Clerk’s
Office. Ball field reservations are made through the City of
Farmington Hills.
What are the procedures for buying a dog or cat license?
What are the fees and due dates? How may a citizen mail in requests?
Licenses for cats or dogs may be obtained at City Hall Desks from
8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The fee is $7.00. If the
animal has been neutered, the fee is reduced by $3.00. Licenses
expire annually on December 31. Licenses are available in
mid-December and may be purchased without penalty until April 1 of
the following year. A valid rabies vaccination certificate must be
provided at the time of licensing. Call the Clerk's Office to
arrange for a license by mail.

are paid at the 47th District Court, not at City Hall.

Where, when and why is fingerprinting conducted?
Manual
ink fingerprints are taken at the Records Department for residents
of Farmington and those employed in the City of Farmington. Officers
fingerprint residents during Records Department’s hours. After hour
printing is at the discretion of the officer in charge.
What is Farmington's curfew policy?
Farmington follows
the State of Michigan curfew law. The hours are the same seven days
per week. For those under age 11, the curfew hours run from 10:00pm
through 6:00am; for those under age 16, the hours run from 12
midnight through 6:00am.

assistance?
Oakland County oversees a home improvement program.
Eligibility depends upon a citizen's home improvement needs,
financial condition, and the availability of funds at the time of
application. Also, to qualify for a home improvement loan, the
individual must own and reside in a single family home. Those home
improvements which take priority include repairs for purposes of
health and safety, structural preservation and energy conservation.
