Farmington mourns death of George F. Riley
Farmington has lost a pillar of the community with the death of George F. Riley who passed away Friday. Mr. Riley is the chairman of the George F. Riley Foundation, known locally for its generosity.
He was a great benefactor to Farmington-Farmington Hills who enriched the community immensely. The community will continue to reap the benefits of his generosity for decades to come. His donation for Riley Park, along with the Sundquist Pavilion, ignited the transformation of Downtown Farmington in 2005. He most recently made The Riley Park Ice Rink possible with a very generous donation. This helps to bring the community together year round.
George Riley was truly dedicated to helping build our community; he will be greatly missed.
