Farmington Retiree Health Care Board of Trustees

The Farmington Retiree Health Care Board of Trustees is organized pursuant to Public Act 149 of 1999. The Board of Trustees consists of the City Manager, Mayor, and Treasury. The Board of Trustees is responsible for administration of the defined benefit retiree health care plan in accordance with collective bargaining agreements and the City’s personnel policies. In addition, the Board of Trustees is responsible for administration of the investments in the Retiree Health Care Fund. The Retiree Health Care Board of Trustees meets on a quarterly basis.

Comment: It should be noted that employees with less than 20 years of services as June 30, 2010 in the following employee groups have been converted to a defined contribution retiree health care plan: Non-union employees, Dispatch, and Public Works.
