2 Charged, 1 Arrested in Los Tres Amigos Restaurant Larceny
Release date: 3/23/2018
The Farmington Department of Public Safety is pleased to report that an arrest has been made in the Los Tres Amigos Restaurant larceny that occurred on March 18th.
Farmington Public Safety Detectives arrested Vincent Edward Bowden, a 54 year old resident of Detroit, who has been charged with felony larceny in a building.
A break in the case came when an anonymous tipster contacted police after seeing the surveillance video that was sent out to the media. The tipster identified Bowden as a possible suspect. An investigation into Bowden revealed that he has an extensive criminal history that includes convictions for similar larcenies in the cities of Livonia, Fraser, Dearborn, Shelby Twp, and Troy.
Further investigation revealed that the female accomplice in this incident is the mother of Bowden’s children. An arrest warrant for Bowden’s accomplice has been issued.
Director Frank Demers said, “This case serves as yet another shining example of how the community and the public safety department worked together to identify the suspects responsible for this crime. The department is grateful for the cooperation of the Michigan Department of Corrections Probation Department who assisted investigators with taking Bowden into custody.”
Bowden was arraigned in front of Magistrate Friedrich of the 47th District Court. A plea of not guilty was entered on Bowden’s behalf and his bond was set at $25,000 cash surety or 10%. Bowden’s next court date is April 6th at 8:30 AM in front of Judge James Brady.
