Release date: 12/6/2017
Farmington Public Safety investigators are seeking the public’s help in identifying a person of interest related to the crime of larceny from auto and check fraud. At approximately 7 am on 11/8/2017, a vehicle was broken into in the parking lot of a business in Farmington and a purse was stolen that contained identifying information of the victim. The victim’s information was later used to cash checks that had been stolen from other vehicles in metro Detroit and Indiana. The photos belo
w were obtained from banks where the checks were cashed in Southgate, Taylor and Trenton. The suspect appears to match the description of a woman who previously cashed checks that were stolen from a car parked at the same Farmington business in November of 2015. The last image below is taken from the 2015 Farmington case.
Anyone with information related to this suspect is asked to contact Detective William Wood at phone number 248-474-5500 Ext. 2239.
