DDA Promotions Coordinator

Job Description:

Part-Time (15-20 hours per week)/Seasonal, Weekends and Evenings Required.

With direction from the Executive Director, plan and execute two (2) retail promotions and four (4) special events/event series: Ladies Night Out (April), Inside|Out Promo (April through July), Art on the Grand (June), Farmington Second Fridays (May through October) and Rhythmz in Riley Park (May through August), Harvest Moon Celebration (September), and/or other promotions as directed by the DDA Board of Directors.

The Promotions Coordinator will implement planned events with input and direction from the Executive Director.
Plan and execute Marketing Communications Plan, with or without assistance from a graphics designer, and provide timely reports of progress. Coordinate all media efforts including radio, TV, social media, print and related support materials.  Press releases, PSAs and web page and social media content will be required.
Coordinate rentals, services, materials, and support systems needed from other agencies and city departments.
Maintain accurate and detailed files of all events and items related to events.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial information for each event.  Assist in monitoring financial records, including revenue and fees generated by events and operational costs
Communicate information about events to businesses in the DDA district to enlist support and involvement; coordinate merchant meetings as necessary to achieve awareness of events; coordinate the implementation of downtown business involvement wherever possible.
Assist Executive Director with administrative tasks as assigned.
Perform other duties as directed and assigned by Executive Director.
